Any location with an aboveground storage tank (AST) with a capacity of more than 1,320 gallons must have and implement a Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure Plan (SPCC). An SPCC Plan contains the preventive measures that will be taken to ensure that a spill from your tank will be contained and countermeasures established to prevent the oil spill from reaching navigable waters. An SPCC Plan is unique to each facility. The EPA periodically performs on-site inspections to ensure compliance with the SPCC Plan regulations.
